Instructor Terms & Policies

privacy-policy

Everything that governs teaching on the eyouth Marketplace: joining, publishing, earning, promotions, data use, community standards, copyright, and course quality.

Instructor Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your relationship with eyouth as an instructor on the Marketplace: joining, publishing, earning, and — if it comes to it — leaving. By registering as an instructor or publishing content, you agree to these terms.

1.1 Who Can Teach (Instructor Eligibility)

To register and remain an instructor on the eyouth Marketplace you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract.
  • Provide accurate identity, contact, and payout information — and keep it up to date.
  • Hold all rights to the content you upload (or written permission from whoever does).
  • Comply with these terms, the Promotions Policy, the AI & Data Policy, and applicable Egyptian law.

Account & security: you are responsible for everything that happens under your instructor account. Keep your credentials safe and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

1.2 Revenue Share & Commissions

Your earnings depend on how the learner discovers and purchases your course:

  • 50% — eyouth Organic Sales: The learner found your course through eyouth's marketing, platform browsing, or search. Split: 50% instructor / 50% eyouth.
  • 90% — Instructor Promotions: The learner purchased using your unique instructor referral link. Split: 90% instructor / 10% eyouth.

How the amount is calculated

Shares are calculated on the Net Amount: the price the learner actually paid, minus payment-gateway fees, applicable taxes, and any mandated third-party charges (e.g. app-store fees for mobile purchases).

Launch offer: instructors who join within the first month of the Marketplace launch pay 0% platform commission for their first 6 months. Standard rates above apply automatically after the offer period ends.

1.3 eyouth Business

eyouth offers a B2B subscription (eyouth Teams) for corporate clients. Participation works as follows:

  • 1. Selection by eyouth — Courses included in the Business collection are exclusively selected by the eyouth team based on quality and enterprise demand. Inclusion is an invitation, not a right.
  • 2. The revenue pool — For each Business subscriber, 50% of that user's subscription fee is allocated to an instructor revenue pool.
  • 3. The 70% completion gate — The pool is distributed among instructors whose courses the subscriber watched, provided the subscriber reached a completion rate of at least 70% in that specific course.

Transparency commitment: the pool percentage and the counting method will always be published on this page. Any change will be announced at least 30 days in advance and will never apply retroactively.

1.4 Content Ownership & Licensing

You own your content. The instructor retains full ownership of all uploaded content and intellectual property.

License to eyouth. By publishing a course, you grant eyouth a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, distribute, promote, and sublicense your content to learners on the platform. Non-exclusive means you remain free to publish the same content elsewhere.

Learner access. Learners receive a limited license to view and consume the content for personal educational purposes only; they do not gain ownership, and may not resell, share, or redistribute it.

Business-collection courses. Courses selected into the eyouth Business collection are chosen by the eyouth team (see 1.3).

Lifetime access after unpublishing

If you unpublish or remove a course, learners who already purchased it retain access to the version they bought. Removal stops new enrollments only.

Your responsibility for the content

  • You warrant your content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, or privacy right.
  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy of what you teach.
  • Content that infringes third-party rights is handled under section 1.8 (removal with notice) — except clear-cut legal infringements, which we may remove immediately as required by law.
1.5 Pricing

Price floor. The minimum allowed price for any individual course on the eyouth Marketplace is EGP 300. You set your own price at or above the floor.

Campaigns & sales. Courses on eyouth Marketplace are subject to eyouth’s sales system, including platform campaigns, discounts, bundles, and promotional pricing. Instructor opt-in or separate campaign approval is not required. Full mechanics are in the Promotions Policy (Document 2).

1.6 Refund Policy

All Marketplace courses follow eyouth's standard platform Refund Policy under the "Recorded Courses" category. Learner eligibility and conditions strictly follow that policy.

What this means for your payout

  • Refunded sales are deducted before your share is calculated.
  • Payouts are held until the refund window for the sale month has closed (see 1.7) — this is why payment timing is ~30 days after month close.

Refer to the refund policy for more details

1.7 Payout Terms

Cycle. Payouts are calculated on a regular monthly cycle and will be disbursed within 7 days after the end of each month

Timing. To account for refund windows and clear pending transactions, payouts are issued approximately 30 days after the end of the calendar month in which the sale occurred.

Fees. Final payouts may be subject to standard third-party payment-processing, gateway, or bank-transfer fees, which are deducted from the transferred amount. eyouth does not take these fees as profit — they are the processors' charges.

Payout methods & threshold

Taxes

Instructors are responsible for their own income-tax obligations on earnings. eyouth may be required to collect tax information or apply withholding where Egyptian law requires; we will notify you if this applies to your account.

Fraud & clawbacks

Sales found to be fraudulent (stolen cards, self-purchases to inflate earnings, refund abuse) are reversed, and any amounts already paid on them may be deducted from future payouts.

1.8 Quality, Review & Removal

Human review. Every course undergoes a manual review by the eyouth Quality Assurance team — not an automated AI model. If anything needs adjusting, we return the course to you with clear, constructive feedback.

The publishing lifecycle

  • 1. Draft — You build the course: title, description, content, price, category.
  • 2. Submitted → Under Review — The QA team assesses quality, content, pricing, and categorization.
  • 3. Approved → Published — Your course goes live and becomes purchasable.
  • 4. Rejected → back to you — You receive documented feedback, can edit, and resubmit — no limit on resubmissions.

Transparent removal — our commitment

We never remove your course without telling you why. If a course violates community guidelines or quality standards, you receive: a formal warning, a clear documented reason, and the right to appeal through our support channels before removal takes effect (except clear legal infringements, which may require immediate action).

Instructor conduct

  • No misleading claims, spam, or manipulation of reviews and ratings.
  • Respectful communication with learners; harassment leads to account action under the same warning-and-appeal process.
  • No off-platform payment steering for content sold on the Marketplace.
1.9 Leaving the Platform & Termination

You can leave anytime. You may unpublish your courses or close your instructor account whenever you choose. Existing purchasers keep access (see 1.4); pending earnings are paid out on the normal cycle.

We may suspend or terminate an instructor account for material breach of these terms — always through the warning → reason → appeal process of section 1.8, except where the law requires immediate action.

Changes to these terms. We may update these terms; material changes are announced at least 30 days in advance via email and this page, and never apply retroactively to past sales. Continued publishing after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Egyptian courts.

Promotions Policy

How campaigns, sales, and discounts work on the Marketplace under eyouth’s sales system. Courses may be included in platform promotions, bundles, and discounts according to eyouth’s sales strategy, and promotional prices are applied before revenue share is calculated.

2.1 eyouth Sales System

All Marketplace courses are subject to eyouth’s sales system. This means eyouth may include courses in site-wide campaigns, category campaigns, bundles, and promotional discounts without requiring separate instructor opt-in for each campaign:

  • eyouth may apply campaign discounts and promotional pricing according to the platform sales plan.
  • Instructor opt-in, approval, or rejection is not required for campaign participation.
  • Instructor earnings are calculated on the Net Amount after the campaign price, taxes, gateway fees, and any mandated third-party charges.
2.2 Price Floor & Discount Limits

Standalone floor. The minimum standalone price for any course is EGP 300.

Revenue share during campaigns. Your revenue share percentage (50% / 90% per the Instructor Terms) is unchanged during campaigns; it simply applies to the promotional Net Amount.

2.3 Instructor-Run Promotions

You can promote your own courses at any time using your unique instructor referral link:

  • Sales through your link earn you 90% of the Net Amount — campaign or no campaign.
  • You may share your link on social media, YouTube, email lists, or communities.
  • You may not use the link for self-purchases, incentivized fake enrollments, or spam — these are treated as fraud under Instructor Terms 1.7.

AI & Data Usage Policy

How eyouth uses instructor content and platform data in artificial-intelligence and machine-learning systems — and what you agree to when you publish.

3.1 The Grant

By publishing your content on eyouth, you grant us the right to use your courses, materials, videos, and associated data to train, develop, and improve our proprietary AI and machine-learning models. This enables us to enhance platform capabilities, generate personalized learning pathways, and develop advanced educational tools.

3.2 What We Will & Won't Do
  • We will use data to improve recommendations, search, learning-path generation, and platform quality.
  • We will anonymize or aggregate data where feasible for analytics.
  • We will not sell your raw course content to third parties.
  • We will not generate and sell a competing course from your content under another name.
  • We will not expand AI usage beyond this policy without a 30-day advance notice and an updated policy version on this page.
3.3 Learner Data

Learner personal data (names, emails, payment details) belongs to the learners and is processed by eyouth under its Privacy Policy. Instructors receive aggregated analytics about their courses (enrollments, completion, ratings) but do not receive learners' personal contact details. Do not attempt to harvest learner contacts through course content or messaging.

3.4 AI-Generated Content by Instructors

You may use AI tools to help produce your course (scripts, slides, voiceover), provided that:

  • You hold the necessary rights to the AI-generated output you upload.
  • The course meets the same human-review quality bar as any other course (Instructor Terms 1.8).
  • Fully auto-generated, low-effort content is grounds for rejection at review.

Trust & Safety — Community Guidelines

What is and isn't allowed on the eyouth Marketplace. These guidelines are what section 1.8 of the Instructor Terms refers to — violations follow the warning → reason → appeal process.

4.1 Content That Is Not Allowed

Courses and any associated materials (descriptions, images, messages) must not contain:

  • Misleading or deceptive claims — fake credentials, guaranteed income/results promises, impersonating another instructor or brand.
  • Infringing content — material you don't own or lack written permission to use (see the Copyright Policy, Document 5).
  • Harmful instruction — content teaching illegal activity, fraud techniques, malware creation, or physical harm.
  • Hate or harassment — content attacking people based on religion, ethnicity, gender, nationality, or disability.
  • Sexually explicit content — including in thumbnails and promotional images.
  • Dangerous medical/financial misinformation — unlicensed medical treatment claims or guaranteed-profit investment schemes.
  • Off-platform payment steering — directing learners to pay for the same content outside eyouth.
4.2 Behavior Standards
  • Respectful communication in Q&A, reviews, and messages — no insults, threats, or discrimination.
  • No review manipulation — buying reviews, review exchanges between instructors, incentivized ratings, or retaliating against honest reviews.
  • No spam — mass unsolicited messages, repetitive self-promotion in other instructors' courses, or fake accounts.
  • No learner-data harvesting — collecting learner emails/contacts through course content or messaging (AI & Data Policy 3.3).
4.3 Reporting & Enforcement

Anyone can report a violation through the platform's report button or support channels. What happens next:

  • 1. Review — The Trust & Safety / QA team reviews the report against these guidelines.
  • 2. Action with notice — Confirmed violations follow the transparent process: formal warning, documented reason, and right to appeal (Instructor Terms 1.8).
  • 3. Escalation — Repeated or severe violations may lead to course removal or account suspension. Clear legal violations may be actioned immediately as required by law.

Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy

How eyouth handles copyright: what instructors warrant when they upload, how rights-holders report infringement discovered after publishing, and what happens to repeat infringers.

5.1 Your Warranty When You Upload

By uploading content you warrant that:

  • You created it, own it, or hold written permission/license from the rights-holder.
  • Third-party materials inside it (music, stock footage, images, code, excerpts) are properly licensed for commercial educational use.
  • It doesn't infringe any trademark, patent, privacy, or publicity right.
5.2 Reporting Infringement

If you believe content on the Marketplace infringes your copyright, submit a takedown request through our support channels including:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work and where the infringing content appears (course URL).
  • Your contact details and proof of rights ownership.
  • A good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized, signed (physically or electronically).
  • 1. Acknowledge — We confirm receipt of the complaint and open a case.
  • 2. Notify & investigate — The accused instructor is notified and can respond with counter-evidence (e.g. their license).
  • 3. Resolve — Confirmed infringement → content removed; sales of the infringing course may be withheld. Unfounded claims → content stays.
5.3 Repeat Infringers & False Claims
  • Repeat infringers: instructors with confirmed repeated infringements face account suspension or termination (via the warning-and-appeal process where applicable).
  • Earnings on infringing content: eyouth may withhold or claw back revenue earned on content confirmed to infringe.
  • False takedown claims: knowingly filing a false infringement claim to harm a competitor is itself a violation and may lead to action against the claimant's account.
